Golden Colorado Florist is a family-owned and operated flower studio in Golden, Colorado. We are a true local florist — not a call center, not a wire service, and not an out-of-state order broker. We design and deliver flowers locally, right here in Golden and the surrounding area.

We provide same-day flower delivery in Golden and nearby communities. Every bouquet is artfully custom-designed by our family — skilled floral designers with a combined 120 years of experience. You’re part of our family now, and we want you to be thrilled. Every flower arrangement or gift is custom made from scratch to order to ensure top quality and freshness. Sunday: Retail closed, but call us at (303) 872-4129 for Sunday funeral services, and we will do our best to help
Holidays: Closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and most major business-observed holidays.

Note: We start answering phones and designing at 7:00 am because same-day sympathy and funeral flower delivery in Golden, nearby churches, and local funeral homes is often time-sensitive.

 

Same-Day & Rush Delivery

• Same-day cutoff: generally 1:00 pm for local delivery in Golden and surrounding communities.
• In a pinch? Call (303) 872-4129 — we’ll do our best to make it happen.
• Funeral needs: if you just learned about a wake, visitation, memorial, or funeral service and it’s happening this morning or early afternoon, call us at (303) 872-4129 as soon as possible. We specialize in urgent, same-day funeral flowers in Golden and nearby communities.
• Weather & safety: during severe weather or road closures, we’ll deliver as soon as conditions allow. We may text the recipient to arrange the best delivery situation.

If you’re sending flowers to family, friends, hospitals, schools, businesses, or a funeral home in the area, we handle that every day.

Out-of-area deliveries: we can often assist through trusted partner florists we personally work with. Timing and fees may vary.

 

Delivery Charge Only – We Never Add Additional Fees

• Local delivery fee: $17.95 per address (standard).
• Extended-area delivery: please call the studio with your needs and details at (303) 872-4129.
• If the recipient isn’t home: we may call or text, leave with a neighbor, or place in a safe, shaded spot when weather permits. For gated buildings, please include the gate code in your order. Apartments may require contacting the recipient, as leaving flowers or gifts at an apartment door can lead to theft.
• Sunday delivery: please call (303) 872-4129. Sunday deliveries may require a special delivery charge and a Sunday minimum order, but we will always do our best to help.

We are transparent: We never stack surprise service fees, handling fees, or processing fees like national brokers. Just the flowers you ordered and the local delivery.

 

Daily Institutional Delivery

Please include department or room number, service times, and access notes.

• Hospitals / Medical Centers: We deliver flowers to hospitals and medical facilities serving Golden and nearby communities. Please provide the patient’s full name and room number. Most ICU units will not accept flowers, so it is usually best to wait until the patient is moved to a regular room.
• Funeral Homes & Houses of Worship: We design and deliver funeral flowers every day to local funeral homes and to services held in churches, chapels, temples, and other places of worship.
• Schools / Universities: We provide flower delivery for schools, colleges, universities, and nearby districts. Please include the school name, department, and who to ask for in the office.
• Care & Rehabilitation: We frequently deliver to assisted living, senior communities, and skilled-nursing facilities in the area.

For same-day, time-sensitive funeral services — including viewings, visitations, memorials, and celebrations of life — do not order online. Call us at (303) 872-4129 as soon as we open at 7:00 am to try to arrange an early service delivery the same day.

 

Our Design Process

We are a floral design studio. We create every single arrangement from scratch using only fresh flowers. We never pre-make grab-and-go arrangements, and we are not a bucket shop that just sells stems. Instead, we focus on custom, one-of-a-kind floral designs, and our priorities are freshness, quality, and value — every time.

We have never made the same arrangement twice. Our floral creations are truly art.

If you see a flower arrangement you like on this website, please understand we treat that image as inspiration, not a duplication. Containers, colors, flowers, and design elements will vary due to seasonal availability and artistic interpretation. All flowers, plants, and gifts are filled to the value you select.

This includes birthday arrangements, anniversary flowers, new baby gifts, get-well flowers, sympathy and funeral flowers, and wedding flowers for ceremonies and receptions in Golden and nearby communities.

 

Order Changes & Cancellations

Please be as accurate as you can when placing an order on our site, and please provide any gate codes or other important delivery information required to complete your delivery. If you have placed an order online and later find there is an issue, please call us immediately. We open early at 7:00 am, so call us as soon as possible and we will try to edit your order quickly.

Keep in mind: once the order is on the truck, it is nearly impossible to redirect it, and at that point the order cannot be canceled. However, we will do our best to resolve the issue or set up a new delivery.

If an address is inaccurate or access is restricted, we will reach out to get the correct missing information and reattempt or reschedule delivery. In some cases, an additional $17.95 will be added to your order.

Valentine’s Day orders cannot be canceled or changed within 48 hours prior to Valentine’s Day.

• What’s the same-day cutoff?
Generally 1:00 pm — but if you need something and you’re in a fix, just call us at (303) 872-4129. We will do our best to help.

• Do you deliver on Sundays?
It can sometimes be done. Your best bet is to call us at (303) 872-4129. Do not order online, as Sunday deliveries may have a special delivery charge and minimum order requirements.

• Can I request a specific time?
No. We only do specific guaranteed times for funeral-related services or similar time-sensitive services. We will always do our best to accommodate a part of the day, such as morning or afternoon, if possible, but that is not a guarantee.
If you have a hard time requirement, order as early as possible and do not place the order online. Always call us at (303) 872-4129, tell us the details, and we will give you an honest answer about whether your request is possible. Other than funerals, timing requests are never guaranteed.

• Do you call recipients?
We most likely will not call a recipient, because many people do not answer a phone number they do not recognize. However, we may text the recipient to clarify delivery details, or they may get a text letting them know flowers were left at their door.

• What if no one’s home?
Our driver will assess each delivery situation individually. If the location is covered and out of direct sun, we may leave the flowers at the door and text the recipient to let them know their gift is waiting, weather permitting. Another option is leaving the order with a neighbor who may know the recipient. We may also reattempt delivery later in the route if possible, or reschedule a new delivery if needed.

• Do you deliver to hospitals, schools, and businesses?
Yes — we deliver to hospitals, medical facilities, schools, office buildings, and other workplaces in Golden and nearby communities. Please include full details and any restrictions. For hospitals, include the patient’s full name and room number. For businesses, please provide a suite number, department name, and floor if that applies.

• Can you match an inspiration photo?
No. The truth is: no florist and no third-party flower broker can guarantee an exact match to a product photo you see online. Flowers are seasonal, colors change, containers go in and out of stock, and every floral designer has a different level of style and talent.
We believe in being honest about that. We require customers to understand that we design — we do not duplicate the exact arrangement or gift in the photo. That is why we call the photo inspiration, not duplication.
